A new Title Update for College Football 27 has been announced. The second patch update will be available to download starting Thursday, October 1 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The update includes several gameplay fixes. In particular, it fixes an issue where the defense would automatically pinch or spread. It also fixes an issue with interceptions made near the end zone and carried into it, which were incorrectly being ruled as a Safety.
The update also includes several fixes and changes to other popular game modes, including Dynasty & Team Builder, Road To Glory, and Ultimate Team, addressing some frustrating issues that were affecting the gameplay experience. Below, we have included the complete Title Update notes released by the Canadian development studio.
Gameplay
- Added functionality to allow users to strafe while in Ballhawk.
- Fixed an issue where the QB would super dive when attempting to slide near the first down line.
- Fixed an issue where the Defensive Line would auto pinch or spread when audibling in or out of QB sneak.
- Fixed an issue where Interceptions caught near and carried into the endzone would be ruled a Safety.
EA SPORTS Network
- Fixed an issue where the Top Story could not be viewed when the user team was playing in the National Championship.
- Made several text based content updates throughout the EA SPORTS Network.
Dynasty Blueprint
- Fixed an issue where Coach Goals that awarded Dynasty Points would not correctly grant those points during the End of Season Recap.
- Fixed an issue where Coach Points awarded after receiving a contract extension could be granted in values that were not multiples of five. Coach Point awards will now always be granted in multiples of five.
- Updated the warning popup when firing a staff member to correctly account for the Dynasty Points refunded from firing the coach.
General
- Fixed an issue where the Post-Game Stats screen could display a Please Wait message when attempting to view post-game stats.
- Updated the Defensive Coordinator at North Carolina.
Draft Projection
- Fixed an issue where the William V. Campbell Trophy was missing its icon.
Build A Player
- Fixed an issue in the Max Potential screen where some sliders could disappear after resetting all Max Potential allocations.
Practice
- Fixed an issue where the game could freeze after selecting a Goal Line play during the Air Game minigame.
- Fixed an issue where selecting Special Teams plays in certain scenarios as a non-quarterback could cause the game to freeze.
Ultimate Captains And Upgrades
- Fixed an issue where the Buy Skill Points section appeared empty when viewing player Archetype upgrades.
- Fixed an issue where the Max OVR shown during the New Ratings flow did not match the Max OVR displayed on the Upgrades screen.
Objectives On Items
- Fixed an issue where Objectives on Items appeared locked in the Lineup until the user played a game.
- Fixed issues where Objectives on Items did not display their favorited status consistently across Lineup tabs and could produce a server error when favorited from Special Teams.
EVOs
- Fixed an issue where an EVO could be applied to the first eligible player in the list instead of the player selected by the user.
- Fixed a server error that could occur when opening filters in the EVO menu.
- Fixed an issue where changing filters on the EVO player-selection screen could display blank or duplicated player items.
- Fixed an issue where the EVO Upgrade Path preview did not display the rewards available from its objectives.
- Fixed an issue where quickselling an item with a non-removable EVO could leave the item visible and lead to a server error.
- Fixed an issue where the back of Ultimate Team player items did not display the player’s position or jersey number.
- Fixed an issue where some in-game Ultimate Team player panels displayed jersey number 0.
- Fixed an issue where the Field Pass Reward Path displayed the total XP threshold instead of the remaining XP needed to reach a level.
- Fixed an issue where selecting Redeem on certain Sets returned an error even when at least one eligible item could be added.
Online Head-To-Head
- Fixed an issue where Online Head-to-Head used the default uniforms instead of the uniforms selected in Advanced Settings.
- Fixed an issue where some player item portraits were missing from the Ultimate Team H2H pregame presentation.

Just like the real college football season, College Football 27 Ultimate Team continues with plenty of new content. Season 3 brings back some familiar events while also introducing new ones to help you keep improving your Ultimate Team as you make your way toward the postseason.
You can take part in the Homecoming celebration, collect new Game of the Week and Stars of the Week player items, and much more. You can also progress through the Field Pass to earn additional player items, Coins, and other rewards.

Homecoming
The college football season is now in full swing, making it the perfect time to celebrate your team’s biggest home game of the season. Bring in the crowd, make some noise, and get ready to face this year’s opponent.
Each year, a specific team and its Homecoming matchup are selected for the event. This year, the spotlight is on the USC Trojans. Log in to receive three upgradeable USC icons, then vote for your Homecoming King by adding their player item to a special Set. The winner will receive a special player item to celebrate their victory. You can then use the Homecoming King Token from the Field Pass to add him to your roster.
Game Of The Week
Keep putting your football knowledge to the test with more Game of the Week releases throughout Season 3. New player items will be added for the teams involved in each matchup.
Every Wednesday, lock in your predictions using Forecast Tokens. If your prediction is correct, you’ll receive the corresponding rewards.
Stars Of The Week
Stars of the Week continues to recognize the top performers from across college football each week. Look for upgraded player items featuring the best players from the previous weekend, complete the weekly Challenges, and earn more rewards.
If a Prime Prospects player item is selected for Stars of the Week, that player item will receive an updated OVR along with other bonuses.
Sunday Spotlight: Fantasy
The weekly fan-favorite event is back with a brand-new Fantasy theme. Take part in the new Dungeon Delver draft event, where you’ll draft players onto a base team before facing increasingly difficult CPU opponents. You’ll earn monster trophy tokens along the way, which can be used to complete Sets.
As you progress deeper into the dungeon, you’ll be able to recruit new players to your lineup as you work your way toward the final boss. There are also new Castle Siege Challenges, where you’ll face a different type of opponent: giant-sized CFB stars.
