A new Gameplay Update for UFC 6 has been announced. The corrective patch will be available to download starting Thursday, September 24 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The update introduces fixes to the gameplay. Specifically, the speed at which fighters can get back to their feet as soon as they touch the ground after being knocked down has been increased.
In addition, the effectiveness of defense has been increased, which can now be quickly turned into an opportunity to counterattack in ground fighting.
The update in question also introduces fixes and changes to some of the most played modes, such as Create A Fighter, as well as some fixes that provide greater stability and resolve certain issues that affected the gameplay experience. Below, we report the complete fix list for the Game Update released by the Canadian software company.
Gameplay Update
- Takedowns: Fighters can now move immediately upon hitting the ground for all takedowns, ensuring consistent responsiveness across all ground entries.
- Transition Starts: Fighters can branch from transition starts earlier to speed up fakes and exchanges, actively encouraging more dynamic grappling exchanges.
- Transition Successes: Fighters can act immediately after completing a transition, eliminating awkward pauses as they reach new positions.
- Denials: Recovery after denials and reversals is now faster, ensuring successful defense translates into counter-grappling opportunities instantly.

UFC 6 introduces several new features involving both gameplay and the available modes. One of the main elements is the new Flow State system, designed to make the fighting style of individual athletes more evident.
Each fighter has characteristics and advantages related to their own fighting style, and when the player manages to use them correctly, they can build momentum and gain an advantage during the match.
Another new feature is the Real-Time Contact system, based on Frostbite technology and a new approach to physics, damage, and reactions to strikes. The goal is to make exchanges more dynamic and ensure that contact between fighters produces more precise reactions.
Movement has also been revised, with specific animations and characteristics designed to better represent the fighting styles of the different athletes included in the roster.
Among the most important modes is The Legacy, a new narrative prologue focused on the journey of Chris Carter, which takes the player from the regional scene to entering the UFC.
Once this part is completed, the journey can continue in the new UFC Career Mode, which allows players to make decisions that can influence different aspects of their career, from attributes to popularity, as well as relationships with other fighters and the events that occur along the way.
Career Mode also offers more possibilities compared to the previous installment, including the opportunity to pursue two division titles and a path dedicated to the BMF belt when certain conditions are met.
There are also more than 150 narrative events and an expanded dialogue system, with some situations introducing an element of risk and reward into the decisions made by the player.
Finally, UFC 6 expands the experience through Hall of Legends, a mode dedicated to the history of some of the most important UFC stars, combining footage, cutscenes, and gameplay to revisit some of their moments.
These are joined by modes such as Online Career, Ranked Championships, Fight Week, and The Gym, offering different ways to play both in single-player and online.
