The line between what is real and what is part of a scripted scene is often very thin. The episode we are about to describe, involving IShowSpeed and Ekitike, is one of those cases.
Popular creator IShowSpeed, who needs no introduction to many people, is at the center of a bizarre situation that is difficult to believe was real.
IShowSpeed played a match of EA FC 27 against Liverpool’s French striker Hugo Ekitike and, at the end of the game, vented all his frustration by destroying a DualSense controller and his gaming setup.
The reason? Quite simply, he lost a match, and there was a bet at stake. If he lost, he would have to set a photo of the French national team striker as his Instagram profile picture (which he eventually did) and go to Anfield to watch a Liverpool match.
Apparently, the popular creator did not take the defeat well. After the final whistle, he repeatedly slammed the controller against the desk until he broke it, then took off his shirt and, finally, started kicking his gaming setup, injuring his foot in the process.
All of this happened while Hugo Ekitike laughed and watched the bizarre scene unfold. The reaction was excessive and sends a negative message to the millions of followers who follow the two people involved.
You cannot have reactions like this over a PlayStation game and destroy everything within reach, even if you have several million dollars in the bank.
For this reason, also considering the presence of the French striker and the bet, which was certainly not particularly costly in any respect, we can say with a reasonable degree of certainty that this was a staged scene organized by the two of them. However, this does not mean that everyone will necessarily reach the same conclusion and, as a result, the message that reaches the viewer is toxic.
