The acclaimed action RPG video game Kingdom Hearts arrives on the Fortnite Island with a variety of content, as announced by Epic Games through its official social media channels.
Players can fight the darkness as Sora and his friends as Kingdom Hearts arrives in Fortnite. The Kingdom Key can be used to unleash a series of melee combos and call down a powerful bolt of lightning on opponents. Players looking to recover some health and shields can also pick up a Sea Salt Ice Cream.
The heart-shaped moon hangs over the Island, beneath which two new Kingdom Hearts Overrides can spawn:
- Recovery Override (Squad & Match-Wide): Eliminating a player with any weapon causes healing orbs to drop.
- Level Up Override (Squad): Spawns a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member at their current location.
The Kingdom Hearts Power Hours will also be available, during which all players start with the Kingdom Key and a Sea Salt Ice Cream. The event takes place this Saturday, September 19, from 2 to 4 PM ET and from 9 to 11 PM ET.
The Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas Outfits are now available in the Fortnite Shop. Each Outfit includes its own Back Bling, Pickaxe, and LEGO Fortnite style. Players can also keep an eye out for the Shadow Steppers Kicks.
Fortnite is an online multiplayer game developed by Epic Games that has grown considerably since its original release in 2017. Although it is best known for its Battle Royale mode, where players compete against each other until one player or team remains, Fortnite has gradually expanded into a broader gaming platform with different experiences and ways to play.
The game combines combat, exploration and, depending on the mode, building mechanics. In Battle Royale, players begin each match by landing on an island, searching for weapons and useful items, and moving around the map while the playable area gradually becomes smaller. Matches can be played alone or together with other players in teams.
Over the years, Fortnite has also introduced several different experiences beyond its traditional Battle Royale gameplay. Fortnite Creative allows players to create and play their own islands and experiences, while other projects and collaborations have brought additional forms of entertainment and gameplay into the game. As a result, Fortnite has become an environment that goes beyond a single game mode.
Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC and Android devices. On PC, the game can be played through Epic Games’ own launcher, while console versions are available through the respective digital stores.
The game is also available on iPhone and iPad in certain regions, although availability on Apple devices depends on the market and the distribution options currently supported there. The same applies to some mobile features, which can vary depending on the country and platform.
One of the handy things about Fortnite is that you can play with people who are using a different platform. So, for example, you can play together even if one person is on a console and another is on a PC, as long as both devices are supported. Your Epic Games account also keeps your supported progress and content linked to you, which means you can use the same account when you play on different platforms.
Fortnite is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Continue to follow us through our social media channels, Facebook and X, for more news and information.
