Franchise

From The Dev Team:

Hey Madden fans! In our last Title Update, we shared that we were continuing to work on CPU salary-cap management.

This update addresses how the cap changes over the life of a Franchise and how CPU teams make decisions about signings and trades.

We are working on additional fixes that should appear in future updates and will continue to monitor

Salary Cap management and CPU roster decisions as it affects Franchise league progress.

Dynamic Salary Cap

  • Addressed issues affecting Dynamic Salary Cap in Franchise.
  • The league salary cap is designed to grow as the years progress, alongside changes to player salaries and contracts.

CPU Roster Management

  • Improved CPU signing and re-signing decisions. Teams now account for a playerโ€™s fair market value
  • when checking available cap room, and their spending limits vary by contention phase.
  • Those limits also apply to free-agent pickups during the season.
  • CPU teams should no longer make trades that create cap penalties above a set percentage of the league salary cap.

We remind you that this week the promotions for the second season of the Madden NFL 27 Ultimate Team mode continue.

The Game Time event is also currently underway. Game Time is one of the featured events of the second season of Madden NFL 27 Ultimate Team and is dedicated to the start of the NFL season.

The program introduces new Player Items featuring players from all 32 teams in the league, with content designed to allow users to expand and improve their roster.

The event offers several activities through which players can earn rewards and new content. These include Challenges, the Clockโ€™s Ticking event, and activities available both against other players and the CPU. Game Time can also be played in Squads, allowing users to play together with other players.

An important part of the program is represented by the Champions, Player Items featuring some of the most notable players included in the event. These cards can also receive a +1 Speed increase when the playerโ€™s team wins a game during the week in which the respective Champion is released.

Game Time also introduces an Evolutions system that allows certain Player Items to be upgraded through Field Pass progression. In particular, reaching Level 16 of the Game Time Field Pass allows players to obtain an Evolution that can upgrade a Game Time Player Item from 80 to 82 OVR.

The Clockโ€™s Ticking event, meanwhile, features games in both H2H and against the CPU, with different versions featuring specific roster requirements. Specific Challenges are also available that require players to complete objectives within set time limits and offer Coins, Packs, and additional rewards.

The Sets complete the program by allowing players to use lower-OVR Player Items to obtain higher-level Game Time items. All of these activities also contribute to progression through the Game Time Field Pass, which provides additional Coins, Player Items, and other rewards.

The Game Time program will be available until September 24 at 1:30 PM ET, after which it will be archived, although some of its Player Items and Sets will remain available.
