With the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S now just over a month away, the wait for the PC version, which still has no official release date, could also be shorter than expected.

Initially, it seemed best to prepare for a long wait. After all, GTA V took one year and seven months to arrive on PC in April 2015, following its debut on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013.

However, a lot of time has passed since then, and as we know, GTA VI has been in development for a very long time. This time around, things could turn out quite differently.

In early September, the first rumors emerged suggesting that Grand Theft Auto VI could launch on PC in 2027. Now, several seemingly well-informed leakers have added weight to this possibility, pointing to a more specific release window in the first quarter of 2027. If these reports prove accurate, the PC version could arrive sooner than even the most optimistic players expected.

The rumors come from seemingly well-informed leakers with alleged connections to Rockstar, although the exact sources of the information have not been confirmed.

In short, if the leak proves accurate, PC players could be waiting anywhere from two months, with a January release, to four months, with a March launch, to play GTA VI. That’s not bad at all, especially considering that Red Dead Redemption 2 also took more than a year to arrive on PC.

Compared with the GTA V era, PC has become a particularly important platform thanks to GTA Online. The new version of GTA Online does not have a release date yet, but a relatively quick launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on Windows would make sense if Rockstar intends to bring the new GTA Online to market soon afterward.

Given its ability to generate a steady stream of revenue over the years, the online component will most likely play an even more central role in Rockstar’s plans than GTA VI’s single-player campaign.

Beyond the game itself, Grand Theft Auto VI is also inspiring a range of merchandise and collectibles based on its characters and setting.

One example is the Macca the Alligator Collectorโ€™s Box, a themed collection featuring clothing, accessories and other items inspired by the world of Leonida. For a closer look at its contents, price and overall value, check out our guide to the GTA VI Macca the Alligator Collectorโ€™s Box.

The collection is aimed primarily at fans who want to own physical items inspired by GTA 6, rather than those simply looking to play the game. It’s worth remembering that Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately, so the cost of the game must be added to the price of the Collectorโ€™s Box.

While the package may appeal to collectors and fans of Vice City and Leonida, its value ultimately depends on how much they appreciate the included merchandise.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the PC Steam version expected to follow at a later date. Follow us on Facebook, X, Telegram, Discord, YouTube and TikTok to keep up with the latest news, articles, guides and more.
