According to a note shared on NHL 27โs official social media channels, dedicated server improvements have been implemented to ensure lower latency during matches.
Specifically, it was announced that new dedicated servers are now operational in the North America East. The game modes in which players will experience lower latency are Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT), World of CHEL (WoC), Connected Franchise, and Online Versus.
With this improvement, matchmaking has been refined to give greater priority to matchups between players with a similar skill level and to lower ping thresholds.
In addition, the way Online Versus ranked matches are hosted has been changed, moving them to a more stable environment.
Following these changes, the development team will continue to monitor both data and player feedback to ensure that these optimizations deliver the expected results, namely improving the quality of the online gaming experience in NHL 27.
